About Broadgate

Exchange Square

The surrounding buildings around the Square include 10 Exchange Square, 175 Bishopsgate and Exchange House. Exchange House is constructed directly above the railway tracks leading to Liverpool Street station. The engineering of this building is unique; with no room for traditional foundations the building spans a distance of 78 metres above the railway. Contrary to popular belief, the main entrance lobby in this building is suspended entirely from the structure above and not supported from the plaza below. In total there are 383,000 sq ft of usable space over 10 floors. Exchange House is part of the Broadgate estate where more than 30,000 people work each day.

The Broadgate arena events programme also takes place on Exchange Square, an area with a stunning 1000 square metres of space and features a perfectly manicured lawn. Events which take place here include the City's Croquet League, screenings of the Football World Cup/Golf's Ryder Cup and a wide variety of performing arts.

Retail units in this area include Corney & Barrow, Piccolino's, Davy's Wine Bar and The Broadgate Exchange.
